First-Get pampered, this will make you feel special and uplift your spirits. If you are interested just getting a hair trim go for it. Having your hair highlighted will do wonders. About makeup, if you would like, go to a salon and ask them about how to apply makeup without the look of makeup I am sure they will be glad to help you. Or if there is a department store that does free makeovers, tell them what you want. As for nails, short is great, well manicured!

There is nothing wrong with wearing separates, I do the same thing. Wearing slacks is great, as long as you feel comfortable. Skirts, there are some out there that are long and legs don't have to show, wear dress boots. If you would like to wear jackets, keep trying them on and see of how some fit since each brand of clothing fits.
No need to be paranoid about that scar, I know people that have one and they are ok with it, it is a blessing because you took care of that problem. Shoes-start trying on shoes that are comfortable for you but professional. This is your time to shine, go for it!

I do not wear make up and I have very short nails. I pull my long hair up in a pony tail-doubled up.

Also because I'm two separate sizes I have to wear separates.

Also, I will not wear a skirt...I feel exposing my legs is unprofessional (besides I'm very modest), so I wear slacks.

I've tried wearing a jacket, but they just don't fit right, so often I must resort to a cardigan.

I also have a prominent keloid scar so must pay attention to the neckline on shirts and usually wear traditional oxfords.

I haven't been able to wear high heels in 20 years due to problems with my ankle (I've broken the right twice in 15 years.

Advice?
