Job Description

A small real estate management company is seeking a top-notch seasoned staff accountant with homebuilding/construction experience and a fundamental understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.  Successful candidates will be proficient in and meet the following requirements:

·         Extensive homebuilding/construction job cost accounting experience

·         Capital leases

·         Interest and cost capitalization

·         Financial Statement preparation (GAAP compliant)

·         Preparation of Journal Entries

·         Transaction Analysis

·         Documentation of transactions

·         Sales Tax Return preparation

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Ability to meet deadlines

·         JD Edwards AS 400 (Do not apply without this proficiency)

·         QuickBooks

·         Microsoft Excel and Word programs

·         Excellent typing skills and proficiency with 10-key

·         Ability to work as a member of a collaborative team
