Job Description:
St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, a major Academic Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona is recruiting a new leader for the Department of Medicine. This Academic Chairman will work with St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center's administration to lead the Medicine Department, which includes an excellent well established Internal Medicine Residency training program as well as physicians representing most internal medicine specialty areas. The Chair is the senior academic leader for the Department of Medicine with full responsibility for clinical, academic, research and administrative functions of the department. Fellowship program development, medical staff development, budget creation and execution, faculty and staff physician education and evaluation are some of the key components to this position.

Job Requirements

MD, record of teaching, scholarship and service as well as strong clinical and mentoring skills.
Board Certified leader in his/her specialty on a local, state and national level.
