Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· In addition to the essential job functions, all associates will perform duties as requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operations.
· Meet or exceed sales and profit goals established with branch management
· Develop and maintain customer relationships for select large customer accounts
· Address customer requests and resolve complaints utilizing advanced product knowledge
· Follow up with customers on orders and inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction
· Promote company capabilities to customers (EDI, Internet, FAST, Mechanical Contractor Program, etc.)
· Maintain and update customer pricing and inform management with regards to pricing issues in the market place
· Develop and maintain vendor relations
· Promote Marketing Department promotions and programs to customers
· Monitor sales trends and product performance results
· Prepare job quotes, stock list quotations, folders, and submittals
· Update Order Management Log (OML) daily
· Provide accurate pricing, inventory and delivery information to customers
· Source and procure direct shipment, special, and rush order items in a cost effective and timely manner
· Communicate company policies and procedures (warranty information, deposit collection policy, return goods policy, etc.)
· Inform purchasing agent or shared purchasing centers of product needs and potential product shortages
· Process credits on returned and defective material
· Coordinate deliveries with the shipping manager, warehouse manager, or supplier and provide support and feedback to Warehouse Manager on shipping issues
· Involved in training and coaching other associates on account planning to grow accounts and serve the customer more effectively
· Assist in development of Branch Strategic Planner to include the sales budget for customer list
· Continually enhance sales skills in order to promote a professional image
· Maintain communication with management by developing weekly itinerary and use of call reports
· Review trial balance with Credit Manager monthly and provide support and feedback to Credit Department as it relates to customer accounts
· Assist in conducting physical inventories

· Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service
· Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures
· Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company
· Work overtime as needed
Job Requirements

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:
· Sales and gross profit based on budget and established customer account list
· Increase sales of established customer account list
· Customer retention and feedback
· Development and sales of new and strategic products with existing customers
· Development of annual sales budgets
· Credits written in timely manner and accounts in 90 days column
· Inventory management (tag and hold, SP’s, Def.)
· Order management accuracy (OML, SOML)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Lifting 20 pound objects constantly; 50 pound objects frequently
· Climbing ladders, stairs, and ramps
· Balancing, reaching, stooping, crouching, and kneeling
· Vision: minimum vision required to prevent injury from oneself and others
· Hearing: perceiving the nature of sounds with or without correction
· Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory including at the time scheduled by your supervisor daily.
