The accounting manager’s primary responsibilities include financial reporting an accounting for a portfolio of luxury high rise multifamily properties. The accounting manager will work closely with the portfolio controller to coordinate the work of the department while directly supervising junior accountants.
The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting, cash management, cash flow analysis, general ledger account analysis, assisting with preparing financial items, preparing annual year-end projections, analyzing monthly and year-to-date budget variances, and preparing reports for senior management. The Accounting Manager will also interface with independent auditors and communicate with internal associates, regulatory agencies and mortgage companies, and supervise Jr. Accountants.
Candidate Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years real estate accounting experience
• 3 plus years of public accounting experience preferred
• CPA certification preferred
• Previous supervisory experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Experience in MS Word
• Experience in J D Edwards, Lawson, Realpage and/or Yardi software is a plus
