Job Description
Classification: Full Time
Compensation: $80000 to $100000 per year
The ActionScript Games Developer will fulfill the primary technical duties in producing advanced AS3 (Flex/Flash) games and applications for a virtual world. This role requires experience with AS3 for developing complex Flex/Flash applications for online deployment. The individual will collaborate in a small team with the Lead Developer, Game Designer, Graphics Designer and other production staff to develop original projects.
Act as primary developer of games and websites using AS3 in Flash or Flex
Write advanced, well-organized object oriented ActionScript 3.0
Creatively resolve gameplay, functionality and production issues
Development and integration of the Game GUI
Implement game and virtual world functionality and defy the imagination!

Job Requirements
- Expertise with ActionScript 3.0, Flex 2, Flash 10 and Flash Video
Expertise with HTML and JavaScript
Knowledge of bandwidth restrictions and file-size optimization
Knowledge of 3D programming a plus
Experience with game and user interface design
Ability to work collaboratively in small teams
University qualifications are regarded but not required
Game Development Principals: Collision, AI, Physics, GUI, Input, Multiplayer, etc.
