Job Description

 

1) Provides assistance to the Administrative Services Manager in the general maintenance of the agency's administrative functions. To include but not limited to: general clerical support, copying, management and maintenance of administrative files.
2) Sorting and distributing mail both in-bound and inter-departmental as well as processing out-bound mail.
3) Assist in the procurement and inventory control of office supplies and equipment.
4) Schedule or reserve meeting room reservations serving as the lead of back-up person for the Admin. services dept as well as secondary back-up to departments/divisions/programs.
5) Reports all maintenance and janitorial issues to appropriate personnel, and troubleshoots office equipment such as the copier, fax and phones with the assistance of the IT Dept.

 


Job Requirements

Education: Possession of HS Diploma or GED, supplemented by training in business subjects at a business school, community college and one year or more of an equivalent clerical position.
Must be able to lift 30lbs, perform job duties at a computer/desk for long periods of time, to multi-task, prioritize demands, work under pressure of meeting multiple attention demands and deadlines, communicate clearly, diplomatically and effectively (Both orally and written)
Must be able to work with min. direct supervision and able to exercise sound judgment; able to relate well and work cooperatively with anyone, remain positive, personal phone and written contracts, projecting an open, warm and positive personality.
Work in a social service setting preferred.
