Michigan Institute of Aviation & Technology is looking for full time Admissions / Sales Representatives (High School Admissions / Outside Sales) to be part of our expanding college system offering technical training in high-demand aviation, power technology and transportation dispatch careers.
Admissions Representative responsibilities includes high school presentations, contacting prospects via telephone and conducting in-home student interviews. Position offers variety, independence & security with a competitive base salary, excellent benefits & thorough paid training as well as outstanding opportunities for career growth for high performers.
Successful SALES experience essential. Additionally, applicants must have a keen interest in helping people pursue a technical education, an aggressive sales-oriented attitude with excellent communication & self- management skills. Representative will reside in their territory, Northern Ohio (up to and including Toledo, OH) and recruit students from there to attend school in Belleville, MI.
Extensive day-to-day travel. ROAD WARRIOR.
HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM
Effectively implement the objectives for proper high school activity and productivity
Educate the educators about the Michigan Institute of Aviation and Technology’s (MIAT) s
ystem, academic programs, services, and high school / community outreach programs
Efficiently book high school seminars in appropriate depth, focusing on generating the greatest number of senior and junior Occupational Interest Survey Cards (OISC) possible
Attend high school functions such as career fairs, graduations, etc. whenever possible
ARRANGING PROSPECT/FAMILY INTERVIEWS
Contact OISCs and company generated leads for prospective student interviews in timely manner
Conduct proper referral generation activities
CONDUCTING PROSPECT/FAMILY INTERVIEWS
Evaluate interest, desire, motivation, family support, and academic background
Present the academic and career opportunities available to MIAT graduates
Provide a detailed explanation of the features and benefits available at MIAT
Finalize and complete application paperwork when appropriate
ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT
Arrange for applicant to contact the Student Support Services on campus
Follow-up with applicants to ensure they complete required pre-registration activities (testing, financial aid paperwork, etc…) prior to starting classes
Re-contact “no-shows" for possible transfer to subsequent classes
Seek referrals from applicants, teachers and counselors as well as additional opportunities during the course of daily operations
TERRITORY MANAGEMENT
Distribute approved marketing materials to each high school located within your designated territory
Establish relationships with key teachers within each of the high schools located within your designated territory with a focus on obtaining the maximum number of junior and senior OISCs possible
Promote special events sponsored by MIAT to the appropriate contacts within your territory
Follow-up on all problems or complaints immediately
Report results to Campus Director
WEEKLY ACTIVITY REPORTS AND ADMINISTRATION
Attend mandatory High School Admissions team meetings each Monday via conference call
Submit all applications and OISCs generated the prior week first thing Monday morning
Submit end of week report Monday morning NLT 8am and mid-week report at close of business Wednesday evening
Immediately follow-up on all request from the Campus Director and / or other members of the MIAT leadership team
