Job Description

SUMMARY

 

Manager of Customer Analytics will work under the supervision and guidance of the Director, Analytics & Research.  This role requires strong analytical and statistical skills and a well-balanced mix of technical and business skills. This role must have the ability to interpret marketing objectives, translate into technical applications, and communicate analysis findings. It requires experience in direct marketing and database marketing. Essential duties of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:

 

·         Provide turn-key delivery on the customer knowledge and insights needs of B+P clients, involving transactional and/or survey-based data analysis

o        Assist Director, Analytics and Research in designing and planning analytic solutions and specifying analytic processes and plans.

o        Query complex data warehouse and multiple disparate data sources to organize analytical data, ensure data quality, and aggregate data for strategic reporting.

o        Ensure best practices in segmentation and model development, including the ability to perform statistical modeling and create segments using data mining tools.

o        Provide measurements and metrics including campaign backend analysis, scorecard metrics, and incremental gain over business-as-usual (BAU).

o        Deliver recommendations and points-of-view via both oral and written communications

 

·         Assist Director, Analytics and Research in evaluating new processes and tools to continue expanding and improving the agency’s customer knowledge and insights competencies

o        Advanced analytics and modeling tools

o        Reporting and dashboard tools

o        Campaign management tools

o        Process automation

 

·         Assist Director, Analytics and Research in training and developing the skills and knowledge of the analytic staff

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

B.S. or MA/MS in statistics or a related quantitative field.  A master’s degree is preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

4+ years of experience in data analysis associated with database or direct marketing.

 

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

 

·         Proficiency with multiple analytic and database tools â€" SAS, SPSS, SQL etc.

·         Proficiency in statistical modeling techniques

·         Knowledge of database marketing

·         Strong verbal and written communications skills
