Job Title: Application Developer
Location: Ashburn, VA
Duration: 7 month contract

Job Description:

• The Application Developer will be responsible for maintaining, supporting and upgrading the existing Online systems and applications.
• Work with the Systems Analyst to analyze business requirements and recommend appropriate design alternatives.
• Development and deployment of systems software and/or enhancements to an existing web application with an Oracle back end
• Troubleshoots, debugs and implement software code.
• Interact with the team which includes the Systems Analyst, Production Support and the System Administrators to identify potential problem areas and work together toward the appropriate resolution.
  
  The successful candidate must have:
• Four (4) years experience in Internet development, both client-side (HTML, JavaScripts) and server-side (J2EE)
• Seven (7) or more years experience in Object Oriented Design and Development, utilizing the following technologies:
  
  - Java/J2EE
  - Servlets
  - JSP
  - XML
  - JavaScript
  - HTML
  - CSS
  - XSL
  - Web Services
  
  Experience with the following Application server:
  - WebLogic 6.1 or higher
  
  Experience with Unix/Solaris environments
  
  Desired qualities/experience:
• Experience with the design, development or maintenance of a web portal / Content Management System, preferably Microsoft Content Management Server
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, and 10 years job related experience.
