Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Assists the Nurse Manager in all aspects of organization and management of the patient care unit. Participates in the development and implementation of unit and organizational goals including the quality plan to improve overall performance. Provides ongoing leadership on a daily basis. The Assistant Nurse Manager has the authority to make, and is held accountable for, patient care management decisions specific to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the nursing plan of care. Management of care is directed toward achievement of desired outcomes with efficient use of resources during the entire length of stay.
Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN highly preferred. Evidence of effective utilization of basic management skills preferred.Current Ohio RN licensure. Minimum of two years NICU clinical experience within previous three years. BCLS,PALS,NRP certifications or must obtain within first year of employment.
