Job Description

General Purpose of the Position:

Assist the Director, Planning & Merchandising with the purchase and allocation of SW products throughout the full line retail stores and outlets. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Work with Director, Planning & Merchandising on weekly transfers of merchandise between our full line store locations and outlets.

·         Content management of open to buy for outlet stores.

·         Create weekly selling reports.

·         Analyze weekly selling reports, recommend what to reorder and prepare those reorders.

·         Analyze size selling by store and adjust size scales to selling trend as necessary.

·         Ensure all buy information and transfer information is recorded accurately.

·         Fulfill store requests.

·         Distribute end of season merchandise to the outlet stores.

·         Oversee weeks of supply for the outlet stores and inform Chief Merchant of which locations require additional stock.

·         Participate in all buys and be part of the planning process in regard to size and width allocation.

·         Manage reorder receipt flow.

·         Run data reports for senior management.

·         Communicate on a weekly basis with the District Outlet Manager.

·         Must be detail oriented.

·         Ability to work in a team environment.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Proven ability to multitask & prioritize in a fast paced environment.

·         Ability to understand, interpret and communicate fashion trends.

Physical Requirements

·         Ability to lift 25 pounds.

 

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:

·         Ability to operate a computer as well as maneuver relevant software programs including Microsoft Office. 

·         Must be able to develop and work with pivot tables.

·         Must be proficient in excel and with databases.

  

 Education and Experience Required:

·         College degree preferred

·         Minimum of 2 years experience of retail planning and allocation or buying experience (footwear experience a preferred)

·         Excellent communication and organizational skills
