Job Description
Spherion's client is an innovator in the sale and distribution of rigid packaging and is looing for an Assistant to the Project Coordinator.
This position will have dual responsibilities. They will be working for both the Tool and Development department and as a floater in the Custom Solutions division as a Sales Assistant
Responsibilities include:
· Assist Project Coordinator to gather all details when a new mold or tool development project is started
· Accurate computer data entry
· Ensure that detailed and accurate records are kept on each project in compliance with our ISO procedures
· Assist with new vendor set up
· Assist with contract review by verifying customer pricing/quote, vendor quote, drawing approvals and quality requirement data
· Enter purchase orders for tooling and custom molds as needed
· Working closely as a team with VP of Tool and Development, Project Coordinator, other Sales Assistants, Company Departments and Vendors
· Providing follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction
· Answering and responding to numerous telephone calls, emails, and faxes
· Main Switch Board duties

v High school diploma or equivalent
v Prior experience in Customer Service setting (2-3 years preferred)
v Ability to handle inbound calls, make outbound calls, assist Project Coordinator & Sales Reps, prioritize work, and multi- task
v Must be computer proficient - we have a complex in-house system (ProSource) that must be learned very quickly
v ISO background is preferred!
v Microsoft experience in Outlook, Excel and Word
v Friendly personality and excellent interpersonal skills a must!
v This job requires highly detail-oriented individuals that like working in a team environment.
The client feels that those candidates with strictly retail or restaurant focused backgrounds, brokers, and bank tellers are not ideal for this job.
