Job Description

ResponsibilitiesAssign damage claims to appraisers and follow-up as neededSet up of new claims and request pertinent information from lendersProcess and settle claims per policy and procedures put in place within standard company guidelinesPromptly and effectively answer and respond to borrowers and lenders claim inquiries and correspondenceAnswer incoming calls to the claims department and handle or direct as necessaryOther special projects and duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Claims background preferredProperty & Casualty Adjuster License preferred1 2 years of office experienceAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Apply commonsense understanding to simple instructions, short correspondence, oral/written instructions and memosAbility to effectively and professionally present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizationAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret statistical materialSolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule formFamiliarity with Microsoft office products with ability to use internal e-mail system; the ability to type at least 45 wpmStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentStrong organization and filing skills; ability to learn quicklyExcellent telephone, written and verbal communication Dependable and adaptableAbility to handle multiple tasks, and follow up until completionStrong listening skills and customer service focusHigh School Diploma/GED requiredEqual employment opportunityIt is the policy of Allied Solutions to provide equal employment opportunities as required by law to all persons regardless of race, age, color, religion, sex, handicap, national origin and veteran status.
