Responsibilities

Department: Compliance. Moody's Compliance Department operates globally and covers MIS, MA and MCO. Responsibilities: The AVP ? Compliance (Surveillance) will work in an evolving regulatory environment and will assist the Compliance Department in developing, implementing and administering the company's internal compliance function. This is a newly created position reporting to the head of the Compliance Department. Key Responsibilities: -Monitor electronic communication, securities transactions, and analytic records for compliance with applicable regulations, policies and procedures. -Support senior Compliance officers on various projects and initiatives. -Assist in reviewing and drafting policies, procedures and comments to proposed regulations. -Assist in the preparation and delivery of training materials and presentations. -Assist in preparation of periodic compliance reports.

Qualifications

-Excellent communications skills. -Strong interest in compliance work. -College degree. Experience: -Three or more years of experience with a financial industry regulator, corporate audit department and/or compliance department of a regulated financial services firm. -Prefer candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas: -email review -employee securities trading review -work papers and/or books and records review Key Skills: -Highest ethical standards. -Professional, pro-active, flexible, diligent and dependable. -Excellent verbal and written communications skills. -Excellent interpersonal skills. -Strong probative skills. -Ability to adapt to changing business and regulatory environments. -Ability to work effectively and supportively within a team. -Ability to work independently. -Computer competence in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. -Enthusiasm for compliance work and ability to learn. -Highly organized and efficient, with administrative skill and the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
