Job Description
Job Summary: - Greet guests and assist them with luggage from car to room. Supply guests with a self-service cart if requested.
- Escort guests to units and, when in the room, open curtains, point out amenities of the unit, how to control heat/air and other items as needed or appropriate.
- Park and retrieve guests' cars and perform other valet duties as required.
- Secure and properly tag and temporarily store luggage and other items in the bell closet. Assist guests when picking up stored items at a later time by matching tags and taking luggage to their car or cab as required.
- Deliver messages, luggage, packages, flowers, cribs, highchairs, shower chairs, ice or run errands as required to exceed guests expectations.
- Assist guests in room moves as requested.
- Call for taxi service and facilitate efficiency in matching guests with cabs as needed.
- Answer inquiries pertaining to the Resort's amenities, services, policies, area attractions, dining, entertainment and directions.
- Communicate with housekeeping, engineering and other departments as needed via telephone or two-way radio. Assist in other departments as needed.
- Keep lobby and Porte Cochere picked up and free of trash or other debris. Maintain luggage carts and polish brass bell carts as necessary.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience (Bellperson/Valet experience preferred).
- Frequent lifting of supplies and equipment.
- Extensive standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending and kneeling.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and a cordial attitude towards all guests and staff.
- Able to handle the stress of high customer demand in a hospitality environment.
- Must be people oriented and able to work independently or with others as needed.
- Must be able to easily and frequently change from one activity to another.
- Must be able to attend to the needs and requests of people immediately.
