Job Requirements

  • Develops test plans, critical test cases and test scenarios
  • Validates assumptions made by development team
  • Manage the testing, implementation and problem resolution processes
  • Work directly with the user community, project owners and technical teams to ensure understanding of the needs and on-time delivery of each application / release
  • QA team lead / liaison for large cross-functional projects
  • Monitor the performance of QA Analysts
  • Analyze SSR’s / HD Tickets for testing effort
  • Manage project schedule for all testing, pilot programs and system releases
  • Participate in QA and User Acceptance testing
  • Attend a variety of monthly / weekly staff, project and system meetings

    Personal Attributes, Skills & Experience
    Supervisory, Judgment, Problem Solving, Communications, Leadership, Team Commitment, Change Management, Impact & Influence, Conflict Management, etc.)
  • Business / MIS related degree preferred.
  • Five years business or technical experience, one to three years in a management or lead role. Extensive QA / Testing background required.
  • People-oriented and professional
  • Testing efforts may require participation in night and weekend activities.
  • Must be able to work in a rapid-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, be self-managed, and motivated
  • Prior project management experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in collecting information and subsequently organizing and detailing reports.
  • Project type experience utilizing similar skills is preferred
  • Outstanding attention to detail is required
  • Technical Expertise - The individual must have a working knowledge of what is possible technically in order to provide direction to the staff. Detailed knowledge of principles and experience with the mandated requirements are highly desirable
  • Results - A proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottom-line mentality; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
  • Leadership and Organization –Must have the ability to build a team and to utilize resources outside of the immediate team to accomplish business goals. The candidate must be able to learn the strengths and weaknesses of their team and put people in position to succeed
  • Action Oriented - Enjoys working hard and looks for challenges. Able to act and react as necessary. Not afraid to take charge of a situation when trouble comes; can overcome resistance and take unpopular stands when necessary
  • Demonstration of strong leadership abilities
  • Proven success in delivering solutions for clients and client-facing groups
  • Motivated by difficult challenges and aggressive timelines
  • Ability to juggle priorities and adjust to the realities of rapid changes in business requirements
  • Strong oral and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborate with other development groups, business partners, field users, and QA
