Bilingual Applications Engineer Summary:

Northern Technologies International Corporation is seeking a qualified candidate to immediately fill the position of Bilingual Applications Engineer in its Beachwood-Ohio facility.

Responsibilities of Bilingual Applications Engineer Includes:

  • Our company specializes in corrosion control solutions, including design and manufacturing of various delivery systems for use in Oil & Gas and Chemical Process Industries.
  • The selected candidate will be working closely with the R&D engineers.
  • Responsibilities will include building test equipment and prototypes for various R&D projects, as well as assistance in running tests on R&D assemblies.


Job Requirements


Bilingual Applications Engineer


Requirements for Bilingual Applications Engineer:

The position requires the following knowledge/skills:

  • Engineering degree or diploma (preferably in chemical or mechanical engineering)
  • 5+ years of field work experience
  • Strong Spanish (speak, read, write)
  • Availability for travel overseas/domestically – estimated at about 30%
  • 40% of time in Year 1.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with limited/minimal supervision


Preferred:

  • Work experience in the Oil & Gas industry (refineries, terminals, offshore platforms, pipelines, equipment suppliers to O&G clients, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage clients, teams, deliverables, budgets
  • Knowledge/background in corrosion
  • Trade experience (welding, field inspections of storage tanks, etc.)


Optional:

  • Experience in development/testing of new products
  • Laboratory work experience (conducting lab/field measurements of electrical/chemical/electrochemical/mechanical parameters
  • The selected candidate will have to be a self-starter able to comfortably deal with varying client requirements/situations.
