Job Description
Union Bank & Trust is seeking an individual to work full-time hours at our Johnson County location. The person holding this position will be exposed to numerous aspects of banking. He or she will enjoy a great environment in which to learn more about the banking system, as he or she delivers friendly and professional service to internal and external customers. Working face to face with customers, bank officers and other employees will also allow for the development of communication, organization, and presentation skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Process all daily customer lockbox deposits in an accurate and timely manner
- Process customer loan payments and deposits, including paying out and receiving cash
- Assist commercial and private banking customers in opening and transitioning new accounts and banking products
- Provide excellent customer service when assisting commercial and private banking customers with account or product inquiries, in person or by phone
- Assist with treasury management document preparation and customer service
- Complete appropriate documentation for stop payments, research, address changes, account changes, overdraft protection, and other transactions as required
- Maintain high level of accuracy and efficiency within the job responsibilities
- Acquire general knowledge of Deposit Services, Customer Service, Electronic Banking, Operations and loans for effective problem resolution
- Support and assist branch in achieving departmental, branch and individual loans
- Represent Union Bank in a professional demeanor at all times
- Participate in ongoing product and bank training
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as requested
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Sedentary work lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds occasionally
Indoor work â€" not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards
Person must pass a background check to obtain a financial bond related to dealing with currency
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Customer Service experience preferred
- Provide effective customer service according to established standards
- Maintain positive attitude to effectively communicate with others by phone and in person
- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, organize and prioritize, deal with pressure
- Ability to display patience with customers and co-workers
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and self motivation
- Show initiative in asking questions and determining customer’s needs
- Ability to work as a team player toward achieving branch goals
Cash handling / Technical experience preferred
- Requires accuracy and attention to detail
- Requires general math skills and typing ability
- Requires 10-key skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
