Job Description
Full-time position responsible for the agency’s breastfeeding projects, staff training, research and development related to breastfeeding, including the breastfeeding Helpline, the Breast pump program, nutrition counseling and education services to high/low risk participants. Conduct group classes and perform other functions as requested by the supervisor. Mentor and coach program staff on breastfeeding nutrition needs and support. Oversee and monitor breastfeeding protocol in all WIC Sites.
Job Requirements
Requires valid CA driver’s license and reliable means of transportation. May require bilingual skills (English plus Spanish, Vietnamese, and/or other foreign languages).
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition, Public Health or related field can be waived with years of experience in nutrition or lactation.

Completed Certified Lactation Educator Program with the ability to pass IBCLC certification .

Knowledge of WIC program desirable.

Knowledge and experience in lactation education required.
