Brief Description
Responsible for maintaining network quality by monitoring and adjusting audio and video parameters. Minimizes customer outages by working effectively with other departments and team members. Must be able to analyze and react quickly to technical problems and be able to understand complex signal paths including large routing systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and adjust audio and video parameters to insure the best network quality.
- Maintain network quality, minimize customer outages and communicate technical issues and solutions in daily shift reports and pass-down meetings.
- Responsible for other key and networked systems, which include PPV file servers, automation, routers, a/v alarm (SAR), Analog/Digital converters and commercial insertion equipment.
- Install, maintain and repair to component level various types of baseband equipment; which include analog and digital, composite, component, NTSC, PAL, AES, SDI and HD signals.
- Tune and trouble-shoot various types of satellite and fiber decoders.
- Calibrate equipment according to manufacturer specifications including routine VTR maintenance.
- Assist operations with training related to audio and video equipment use and their adjustments.
- Insure a clean and dust free environment in all technical areas.
- Maintain the integrity of the system wiring and documentation
Job Requirements
SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures or government policy. Able to write reports/correspondence/procedure manuals, and present information and respond to questions from managers/customers/general public.
