Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Transforming data into information necessary to make strategic business decisions.
- Proactively analyzes key business information and advises business leaders of emerging trends.
- Actively participates in the scoping of business opportunities and threats from both a strategic and financial perspective.
- Creates tools to allow for automated display of information (data transformed into actionable information.)
- Advises senior leadership of appropriate budgetary values and trends.
- Participates proactively in strategic business reviews as a corporate liaison between the business unit and corporate oversight functions.
- Challenges business decision background with support from data analysis.
- Trains business leaders and sales professionals on analysis tools to enable more informed strategic decision making.
- Interfaces with Product Management concerning new product introduction sales forecasting/costing as well as on const reduction projects.
- Analyzes both direct and trace sales to determine sales professional bonus calculations and commissions.
- Determines proactively alternative measurement techniques/segregations of information to allow for strategic decision making.
- Collaborates with Information Technology, Pricing, and Sales Support to create tools and process to ensure data integrity.
- Teams with leaders and other departments on special requested Projects.
- Serves as a key source for gathering and reporting on product attribute information.
- Trains and mentors Sales System users across the enterprise to help develop self reliance and power users within each department.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience Required
BA/BS in finance, engineering or other quantitative fields. MBA preferred.
Five (5) years relevant business experience in a professional analysis role.
