JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the overall management of the regional lease administration accounts and staff, including account administration, database management and audit services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Oversee the work of Lease Administrators and serve as a mentor for these employees
Ensure that CBRE’s best practices are being utilized regionally and continually refine and improve current methods of doing business, including implementation
Implement standardized systems, reports, policies and procedures
Negotiate audit findings with client and its landlord, as necessary, to ensure sufficient credits and that the appropriate charges are made
Set up both Audit and Implementation SWAT teams and serve as a member of both teams as required
Provide procedures and processes for data accuracy as well as for narrative and computer generated reports; maintain information and knowledge on real estate database packages
Conduct analysis of leased and owned portfolios to determine risk, audit, accuracy and value
Prepare detailed correspondence for client regarding audit findings; facilitate ad hoc reports as required; monitor quality of work produced by lease administration team members.
Track the profit and loss statements for the lease administration accounts
Review client rent rolls generated by staff
Determine when an operating expense audit is warranted and conduct the audit as required
Prepare and present presentations on PowerPoint (or similar software) to potential clients, as necessary
Participate in Corporate Services meetings and in preparing proposals & contracts for potential clients as necessary
Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages a work unit and/or group. Responsible for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating direct reports. Responsible for hiring, terminating, compensation, and performance evaluation.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent to appropriate 4-year college program 10+ years commercial real estate experience (Senior Property Management or Real Estate Accounting) or any similar combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret various types of business documents. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches, and articles in a pre-designed style and format. Ability to effectively respond to complex inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, supervisor, and/or management. Ability to present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Able to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts complex financial/business analysis including the preparation of complex reports. Prepares and manages departmental budget.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of options in varying situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgement may cause short-term impact to department.
