Level: Manager - Business Intelligence
Design, code, and test new Business Objects BI applications : includes Business Objects Webi and Crystal reports, Universes, and Xcelsius dashboards. Work with project managers and business systems analyststo ensure customer requirements are documented correctly and delivered on time. Troubleshoot existing BI applications as needed. Work with database platform teams to optimize solutions and improve performance. Bring new ideas and recommendations on BI products and best practices. Participates in technical design, development and implementation of application systems. Work with designer/analysts to implement enhancements or new applications. Perform troubleshooting and correcting production issues in emergency type situations. Provides team or technical supervision and drives project/service delivery. Performs as technical lead onBI development projects with responsibility for overall delivery of software components. Documents design decisions, adheres to existing process guidelines, develops software components, mentors junior developers, supports QA during testing, and has oversight during implementation into production.
Responsibilities:
Converts specifications about business problems into programming instructions. Designs and codes programs; creates test transactions and runs tests; revises as necessary. Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems. Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system. Maintains records to document program development and revisions. Monitors operating efficiency of existing application systems.
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree from and accredited college or university. 5 Years experience in Business Objects (Universe/WEBi and Crystal Reports) development 2 Years experience in People/Contractor management
