Job Description
Purpose of the Job/Principal Responsibilities: The KCE Withdrawal/Business Office Assistant for 043 will have full working knowledge of all enrollment agreement policies of every program and be able to provide options to students upon request. Write-off students to collections or non-collections accordingly.
Typical activities include:
Process withdrawal options upon student written request, email to student, and follow-up with student’s final decision. Initiate refunds for students with credit balances via Image Now (scanning system) Post checks to student ledgers and log in the contact manager. Provide extensions to students that are up to date with their payments. Reinstate students according to policies and fees established by executive management of 043. Write-off students without a payment in +121 days and remove any scheduled payments once an account is written-off to collections. Prepare list of students to be sent to collections Work with the collection agency on any issues related to students written off to collections. E.g. provide additional information as requested by agency for collection purposes. Resolution of withdrawals in dispute weekly. Provide customer service to incoming request from students. Perform other miscellaneous job duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Experience Required:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of A/R experience, billing methodologies and practices, and experience with high volume transaction processing. Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance; will consider combined experience in lieu of degree. Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office products including Excel, and Word is required.

Familiarity with higher education and university transaction processing systems. Must have outstanding attention to detail and be able to work in high volume production environment with strict deadlines and goals. Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
Measurement of Success: The Business Office Assistant-Withdrawals will be evaluated based on (a) accuracy and performance of supervised teams; (b) ability to accurately and effectively resolve receivables problems; (c) ability to work effectively on a team, both within and across Kaplan College departments; and (d) attitude and enthusiasm.
