We are currently searching for a C#/ASP.NET 2.0 Web Developer for a contract position (up to 3 months initially with option to hire) for one of our clients Tuscaloosa, AL. Our client wants to hire someone who has excellent communications skills; a self-starter; has a desire to learn and grow within technology; and has the ability to share ideas with others. The person hired for this position will need to work onsite in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Our client would ideally like someone to start on Monday, 11-9-09, so interviews will be scheduled quickly for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Development of new features and functionality for new applications and maintenance of existing applications using C#, JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, etc.

• Development of web services and data services to provide integration with external partners using Microsoft Web Services (ASMX), AJAX Toolkit, etc.

• Code and test SQL stored procedures using SQL Server 2005 (SQL Server 2008 experience is a plus)

• Perform unit testing of C# code using NUnit

• Strive to grow technical and professional skills on a consistent basis

• Work within a team environment to accomplish critical business objectives through development of new and existing applications

Job Requirements

The qualified individual will be required to have the following skills and experience:

• 2+ years of related experience, including hands-on development experience developing web-based solutions in C#, JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, .NET 2.0, ASP.NET 2.0, Web Services (ASMX), SQL Server 2005, AJAX, ADO.NET, NUnit, Agile (TDD), Version Control (SVN, Visual Source Safe, etc.), etc.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Below is a listing of the preferred skills for this position:

• Bachelors and/or Associates degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferrably in a related field (Computer Science, etc.)

• Experience with any combination of the following technologies: Microsoft Enterprise Library, Log4Net, NHibernate, Linux, PHP, Apache, MySQL, WCF, WWF, SQL Server Reporting Services, etc.
