Classification:Regular Full Time
Shift:40Hr M-S Shifts Vary 7AM-7PM
Location:AT&T - Southwest
Responsibilities - Cell Technician II:
- Individual who is self motivated in maintaining cell / switch / microwave / transport system equipment at
- optimum performance to ensure quality customer service and minimize outage times.
- Reacts quickly to maintain out of service equipment to exceed standards.
- Investigates and troubleshoots customer reported troubles.
- Uses test equipment to analyze problems.
- Communicates with other department managers to resolve customer problems.
- Maintains a current standard of knowledge in related job disciplines.
- Assists in developing and coordinating the routine maintenance schedule.
- Assists in coordination of final test, Q.A. & supervision of outside vendors.
- Makes decisions related to location and equipment required for installations.
- Comply with state & federal regulations & company policies.
- Prepare reports as required.
- Must work On Call - which covers 24X7.
- Normal work schedule is M-F 8-5 but must be willing and able to work flexible hours and be available for overtime on short notice.

Cell Technician II
Requirements - Cell Technician II:
- The position requires the employee to live and work within the Tuscaloosa Alabama area market. Valid/clean drivers license for the state of employment and insurance required.
- Ability to regularly lift and move 50 pounds required.
- Self motivated, driven and independent person with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Required Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills: High School diploma or GED.
- At least 5 years of cellular network experience.
- Ability to maintain Microsoft Office documents.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting DS3/DS1 transport equipment.
- Knowledgeable on GSM, UMTS and /or CDMA base station technology.
- Desired Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills: 2 Year Technical School or College Degree.
- Proficient maintaining/ troubleshooting Harris Microwave equipment a plus.
- Proficient maintaining/ troubleshooting Nokia GSM & Ericsson UMTS base station equipment a plus.
