Unity Health System provides a complete network of health care services from the Unity Park Ridge Hospital Campus in the town of Greece, the Unity St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, and at numerous other sites throughout Rochester and western Monroe County. Services include inpatient and outpatient hospital care and surgery, a family birth place, women’s health services, chemical dependency and mental health, physical medicine and rehabilitation, adult day health and home health programs for older adults, retirement communities, child care, and laboratory services, among many others.

We’re looking for mature and reliable individuals to fill the following position:

• Certified Nurse Assistant-MS Achievement Center (09-0891)

 The M.S. Achievement Center at Unity is a collaborative program of Unity Health System and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Upstate NY Chapter.

This program serves mid- to late-stage M.S. patients, as well as individuals with other neurological diagnosis. The average age of registrants is 40 to 50 years old. The CNA provides direct patient care for activities of daily living and other needed assistance to adult day care registrants, under the direction of the registered nurse. .

Job Requirements

This is a FT 35 Hour Per Week Position

Preferred Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
 
 
Preferred Experience
2 years experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a skilled nursing facility or adult day care program.
 
 
Required Certification/Licensure
CNA registered in NYS.
 
 
Special Skills
Ability to read, write and speak English, ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
 
 
Physical Demands
May be required to lift up to 35 lbs
