Channel Manager, Global Partner Program Summary :

Key elements of role :

  • Manage formal and informal rules that govern day-to-day behaviors of the various channel members (incl. coordination, control, and conflict resolution)
  • Monitor performance, adjust plans accordingly

Responsibilities of Channel Manager, Global Partner Program

Key goals

  • Drive increased revenues by assisting all Partners with business in the assigned geographic area via joint sales calls
  • Designated resource for all Business Partner engagements within an assigned geographic footprint.
  • Advise engaged agents on effective solutions to current active business opportunities on new products/services, promotions as applicable Both above encompass extending reach/increasing addressable market opportunities and driving profitability; also entails leveraging channel partners’ customer base to drive broader market awareness and thought leadership Act as “channel steward". Guide and direct changes in channel design and management to align the channels with end user/customer needs while driving profit for MASERGY and its partners. Includes:
  • Build/select a strong base of partners
  • Recruit new partners to MASERGY
  • Work with channel support infrastructure (e.g. marketing support, training, technical and selling support, communications, etc)
  • Define and implement measurements to manage channel in order to gauge partner performance and success
  • Create the strategy and design channels that are not simply a conduit to reach customers, but that also creates discernable value; includes channel design and go-to-market strategy that simultaneously addresses customers best interest and drives profits for MASERGY and its partners.
  • Responsible for keeping an eye on the go-to-market system as a whole; assessing the state of the channel in light of market changes (competitive actions and customer buying behaviors) and company objectives (extend market reach; create opportunities for delivering additional value addressing customer demands)

  • College Degree Required
  • Minimum 5 years of telecommunications industry experience/knowledge
  • Minimum 2 - 5 years of indirect sales via national/international partnerships
