CISCO Network Engineer (Contract to Hire)

COMSYS is supporting one of its premier international clients headquartered in Cleveland OH in this Conract to HIre opportunity.

Required Skills and Experience:
* Experienced Cisco Networking Engineer
* 5+ yrs IT experience in supporting a CISCO LAN and WAN environment
* Needs to integrate with low key high-performing team
* 4 year degree

* Good communication and listening skills
* Good interpersonal skills
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
* Analytical and problem solving skills
* Comfortable working in a team environment
* Must be a self starter and be able to use a high degree of initiative.

* A thorough and in-depth understanding of TCP/IP and Subnetting
* General awareness and appreciation of a global Microsoft environment.
* Working knowledge of Cisco Switch IOS commands
* Ability to create VLANS and Trunk ports
* Ability to implement QoS settings
* Working knowledge of Cisco Router commands
* Ability to trouble shoot WAN issues in a mixed VPN, Private Line and IP enabled frame environment.
* Familiar with BGP and EIGRP routing protocols.
* Working knowledge of ACLs.
* Knowledgeable using Cisco Access Points in a layer 2 and controller environment
* Experience configuring a Cisco ASA devices
* Familiar with using a Netscout Sniffer a plus
* Experience with Avaya VOIP installations not necessary but a definite plus
