We are looking for a City Community Manager.
The City Community Manager for New York City will be responsible for the facilitation of process improvement, coordination of regulatory compliance. It requires extensive interaction with team members, institutional ancillary and support services to ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively. The Manager has oversight of daily property operations and holds others accountable for meeting standards which may be informed by industry best practices, or may be regulatory in nature.

To be considered for this vital role, you must have a proven record demonstrating the following:
 
      1.   Ability to review, analyze, implement and recommend changes and enhancements to programs, processes, and policies to increase efficiency and effectiveness of operations; implementing and executing approved recommendations and ensure compliance with all associated policies and standing operational procedures and regulations.
      2.   Ability to manage special projects inclusive of new services, new technology, and assessment of current tools and resources for productive change.
      3.   Directly facilitate planning of strategic and operational goals.
      4.   Monitor budgets as well as reports on budget variances.
      5.   Prepare ad hoc reports and presentations to the leadership team.
      6.   Facilitate continuous process improvement and identification of workflows to improve services within operations.
     7.   Responsible for managing, instructing, and verifying the work of the Community Manager and Service Team. This will include performance management and annual reviews, along with hiring, disciplinary actions.
    8.   Review implementation of effective and on-going programs to monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality and appropriateness of service delivered to residents/tenants.
      9. Provide leadership and resources to field team members.
      10. Promote teamwork.  Provide support to work group.  Accept constructive criticism and suggestions as is demonstrated by appropriate follow through.
 
The ideal City Community Manager may not necessarily have previous apartment management experience. However, the right candidate should have a strong management, sales, customer service, and fiscal decision-making background.  Here are a few things to consider â€"

  • A City Community Manager must hire and train new employees.

  • Be prepared to move around!  The position includes showing apartments outside and around the apartment community, as well as grounds inspection to ensure a market-ready condition.
