Job Description
CNC Maintenance engineer INHOUSE
great situation for cnc / machine tool service engineer for position with growing hi tech manufacturer with state of the art CNC machines..
Looking for a hard working professional to oversee the maintenance and calibration of our 5-axis CNC milling centers, Lathes, and their support equipment. Extensive experience (5+ years) with running and maintaining 5-axis CNC machines is required. Experience with CAD/CAM a plus. This position will take the lead role in developing and implementing maintenance and calibration programs to ensure all machines are in top working condition. Will also be responsible for coordinating new machine installations and purchasing of all necessary tooling, holders, pallets, etc needed for the processes. Must be a strong team player and have experience in leading and coaching others as well as strong writing and communication skills. Reports to the Plant Maintenance and Facility Manager.
The key word on this position is MAINTENANCE. Client need sa guy who can roll up his sleeves and get under the hood when a machine breaks, at least for basic repairs. Otherwise, the main focus will be ownership of our preventative maintenance and machine calibration procedures. He has to know machine programming, but CAM is not essential (though I know they often go together). Training of the operators to do the basic tasks, but he will be the go-to guy to solve any problem that happens. Also in charge of inventory for pallets, tool holders, etc. as well as spare parts. Also consult to R&D on questions about tooling, pallet design, machine tolorances, etc. We have CMM's as well, which he would get involved with, but that can be trained on site. $60-$80k if the skills are right. May have direct reports in the future to assist with maintenance.
