Job Description
Company located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland - 2 1/2 hours from the Baltimore Washingon Metropolitan area and 30 minutes from the beach is looking for a CNC Programmer/Supervisor to join their team.
Responsibilities:
· Create and direct manufacturing plans for assigned jobs to ensure they meet established business goals and customer specifications.
· Ensure that parts are manufactured according to customer requirements
· Recommend and direct changes to achieve process improvements and continuous time reduction
· Develop time standards for the jobs to be run in production.
· Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including CAD drawings for cutting tools, jigs and fixtures.
· Design fixturing to facilitate machining and/or fabrication operations.
· Document production process to be understood and implemented by production personnel
· May designate, modify and/or make recommendations for procurement of equipment necessary to produce parts and/or assemblies.
· Provide input to production control to ensure that engineering is complete before operations are performed.
· Develop CNC programs and verify for completeness.
· Utilize selected and/or designed cutting tools and fixtures.
· Utilize CAD models or draws part geometry.
· Select the proper feeds and speeds for the cutting tools.
· Evaluate tools and equipment to determine if they can be used in the manufacturing process and recommends the purchase of appropriate tools and equipment.
· Provide analysis of machining and cycle times to determine cost effectiveness of the project.
· Determine the nature of "out of spec" problems in the manufacturing process. Work with others to resolve.
· May communicate with the customer regarding the resolution of the problem.
· Provide engineering support to the production personnel.
· Assist in the development of tooling design and redesign to reduce manufacturing costs to improve quality.
· Supervises 3 to 4 Jr. CNC Programmers.
Job Requirements
Must have good management skills and must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with:
Master Cam
Fanuc and Yasnac CNC Controls
Solid Works
4 and 5 axis programming
