Conn’s is a recognizable and regional retailer of televisions, appliances, consumer electronics, home furniture, and lawn/garden equipment. We have 75 stores located in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Our reputation has been built since our beginning 118 years ago. Though Conn's has changed dramatically over the years, the customer continues to be the focus of attention and the reason for the company's continued success, and the basic values and culture of the company continue to support the contention that "the Customer is Number One."
We are currently seeking Collections Associates to add to our team in San Antonio, Texas. If you have good reasoning skills, excellent communication skills, and will talk to anyone on the phone, then we would like to hear from you immediately!
Job Requirements
Position Details…
- Collection Associates are paid an hourly rate of $9.50 per hour plus bonus ($150-$700 per month based on goals achieved)
- Must enjoy working with a diverse clientele and have outstanding customer service skills
- Should have a sense of humor and a charming personality
- Must have outstanding communication skills and be able to make clear presentations
- Strong computer and typing skills required
- Comfortable calling customers who are past due (1 to 59 days) with payments
- Should have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Must be able to work Conn’s retail schedule (40-48 hours per week). This will include 3 night shifts / day shifts / and Saturday/Sunday shifts
- Must attend 9 days of uninterrupted training
- Must be professional and confident at all times
- Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish)
- Previous call center or collections experience a plus

Full Time Associates (minimum 40 hours per week) are eligible for Conn’s Health and Welfare Benefits on the first of the month following three months of continuous service. These benefits include medical, dental, vision, short & long term disability, life insurance and more. Most benefits require employee contributions and employees can select the benefits that best fit their personal needs. Vacation eligibility is one week after one year of service, two weeks after two years of service and three weeks after five years of service.
In addition, after one year of service, eligible employees may join Conn’s 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, and Conn’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
