Job Description
SCOPE OF WORK:
Successful candidate will be responsible for providing satellite, voice and network engineering support for marine based IP network infrastructure with more than 40,000 employees worldwide. They must have a diverse telephony and network technology along with strong VSAT communications background. Candidate will be required to provide day-to-day operations support and maintain a multi-vendor IP and Legacy TDM based PBX system infrastructure.

Job Requirements
Hands-on in-depth knowledge and experience with satellite communications hardware (I-Direct netmodem, C-Band, Ku-Band, Inmarsat, and Iridium ), PBX platforms (Alcatel, Mitel, Ericsson, NEC Philips, Cisco Communications Manager)
o Strong hands-on experience with Cisco infrastructure hardware such as: Catalyst switches, routers and wireless a/b/g/n technologies.
o Lead the coordination of support services and enterprise projects with a core group of cross functional teams such as: Shipboard Fleet Operations, On-board personnel for IT, Marine and Hotel departments.
o Must have strong multi-vendor project coordination, management and administrative experience.
o Strong project management for shipboard technology projects for new build projects and existing fleet.
o Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
o Strong organizational and project management skills to function in a high degree of independence on projects and tasks.
3-5+ years experience supporting a 7x24x365 global enterprise communications infrastructure consisting of: satellite, voice and network communications hardware.
3-5+ years experience supporting Marine based terrestrial satellite communications systems such as: VSAT, C-Band, Ku-Band and Inmarsat.
3-5+ years experience in designing, configuration and installation of complex technical communications infrastructure systems.
Project management knowledge, understanding of industry trends & standards, working knowledge of hardware and software architectures.
Must be able to travel up to 10%-30%
Preferred Skills:
Hands-on experience working with leading WAN optimization and compression appliances such as: Riverbed, F5-WanJet and Cisco WAAS
Strong knowledge of IP based Avaya and Cisco Call Manager Telephony platforms
