Job Description
Responsible for maintaining central configuration database, tracking change requests, analyzing and recommending enhancements, and evaluating requests for new requirements. Responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the release of new products and enhancements into the production environment. Provides quality assurance oversight of system engineering activities in the IT portfolio. Provides system and technical expertise to environment support and system engineers as an environment subject matter expert. Facilitates communication and cooperation within project team and with resources external to the project.
Responsibilities:
Communicates with consultants on the use of configuration management software and practices. Validates system engineer plans, methods, and execution.
Identifies configuration of software at specific points in time, systematically controls changes to configuration, and maintains integrity and traceability of the configuration throughout the software life cycle
. Troubleshoots and triages system issues.
Responds to questions about configuration management policies and procedures. Performs configuration verification audits
. Manages the setup and maintenance of the suite of tools. Performs library control and product builds. Provides status accounting reports. Documents environment changes.
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
1 Year experience in System Administration
1 Year experience in Software Configuration Management Librarian
1 Year experience in Database Administration
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Technology and Information Systems
MCSE, MCSA, MSDBA, Oracle SQL, PeopleSoft Security
2 Years experience in System Administration
2 Years experience in Software Configuration Management Librarian
2 Years experience in Database Administration
