Primary responsibilities include development of internal custom knowledge base solution used by DSL and FiOS technical support agents. Job duties will include creating content for various Internet related technologies such as operating systems, e-mail clients, news clients, anti-virus software, software firewalls, routers, DSL modems, etc. Requires maintenance of existing content and conversion of various document types to HTML. Solution is based on Win2000/2005 Server, SQL Server 2000/2005, IIS, and Index Server. Work to focus on HTML development, interface design, navigation, and usability. Ideal candidate will have substantial experience with Dreamweaver, JavaScript, XHTML 1.0 specification, DHMTL, and CSS. Familiarity with IIS a plus. Some work may be necessary in Macromedia Flash and Macromedia Fireworks. Primary work will focus on front-end development and then partner with programmer for database and coding.
Job Requirements
* Experienced candidates will possess refined skills in HTML development, interface design, look and feel, navigation, and usability. * Experience with Macromedia Dreamweaver, Contribute, JavaScript, XHTML 1.0 spec, DHMTL, and Cascading Style Sheets a must. * Exp. w/ Flash and Fireworks desirable. * Experience building web content for a technical support helpdesk is a plus. * Grammar, spelling, style, and the ability to convey complex tasks simply is important. * Experience is desired, but not required, in ASP.Net, XML, and experience with database driven applications. * Candidate must work well within a small team and be a self starter. * Candidate must have the ability to review functional requirements, ask appropriate clarifying questions to eliminate ambiguity, and then create a design that meets requirements.
