CONTRACTS ANALYST

MedFocus offers clinical research contract outsourcing and staffing specifically to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. We specialize in the nationwide recruitment of clinical trials personnel.

Our client is committed to earning the trust of doctors, patients and customers every day and is seeking to add a Contracts Analyst to their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Provide analytical support for Development commitments outsourced to Contract Research Organizations (CROs)
•    Managing the soliciting bids; managing key performance indicators (KPIs) with regards to quality, cost and service; ensure compliance with corporate policies; cross-functionally work with other Clients Strategic Sourcing teams to optimize and leverage client's global spend with the ultimate goal of reducing costs; and ensuring best practices are shared and followed at each site and are consistent with assisting the company in meeting its goals and objectives.
•    Assist to design, develop and implement complex spend and bid analysis to support  Development outsourcing primarily within Research & Development (Contract manufacturing, Clinical Packaging and Analytical testing)
•    Maintain and manage centralized Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in regards to quality, cost, and service with the goal of taking the lead to continuously improving metrics year to year
•    Execute the tactical procurement activities related to the sourcing of commodities and services required to support the Global Supply Chain ensuring on-time deliveries
•    Support contract negotiations with Contract Research Organizations Global Strategic Procurement
•    Ensure global procurement initiatives are supported by and for primarily the R & D division, and implemented to the extent applicable with Master Supply & Service Agreements
•    Compliance reporting - Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures as it relates to the procure to pay process
•    Facilitate processing of purchase requisitions utilizing an Ariba platform.

Job Requirements

•    B.A./B.S degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of progressive procurement and or financial/bid analysis experience in the pharmaceutical, health care or chemical industry. e Sourcing knowledge and experience with Ariba a plus
•    R&D sourcing experience
•    Strong Excel ( pivot tables etc.) supporting bid and market analysis
•    Strong contract experience
•    Strong analytical reasoning capabilities and proven track record managing multiple tasks.
•    Cross-functional, Team Member - Prior experience acting in this capacity
•    Strategic Sourcing Process - familiar with this sourcing process with proven prior experience
•    Contract development and negotiation experience required
•    Strong business acumen and familiar with financial and legal terms including international economies and exchange rates in relation to developing sources of supply internationally
•    Strong interpersonal skills, a self starter who can effectively communicate both in writing and orally.
•    Demonstrated ability to be able to work both tactically and strategically
•    Core competencies in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project)
