CONTRACTS MANAGER

COMPANY INFO:
MedFocus offers clinical research contract outsourcing and staffing specifically to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. We specialize in the nationwide recruitment of clinical trials personnel.

Our client is a company that wants to discover, develop and successfully market innovative products to prevent and cure diseases, to ease suffering and to enhance the quality of life and is seeking to add a Contracts Manager to their team in Florham Park, New Jersey.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Negotiates and finalizes all types of agreements (ie. clinical trial agreements, general services agreements, lab agreements, amendments etc.) with Investigators and/or clinical sites in the Oncology US Medical Affairs Department.
•    Experience with Third Party studies preferred. Collaborate with clinical trial team and Investigational sites to verify and develop budget and negotiate cost savings.
•    Collaborates cross functionally with Company Legal, Patents, Regulatory, Compliance and Insurance to negotiate contract wording changes.
•    Works closely with Clinical Trial team to ensure delivery of fully executed contracts in support of timely study start-up to meet departmental goals.
•    Familiar with request for proposals (RFP) for clinical services including bidding process and scope of work (SOW).
•    Maintains proactive Business Planning and Support (BP&A) to ensure that all financial requirements are satisfied.
•    Liaison between clinical service groups (SMO,CRO), Legal and Clinical Trial Teams for outsourced trials.

Job Requirements

•    High degree of organizational, analytical, and team management skills.
•    Computer literacy with document and spreadsheet applications.
•    Ability to work on complex, multi-faceted projects.
•    Excellent negotiation skills and knowledge of clinical trial agreements.
•    Minimum five years experience in pharmaceutical services with three years contract management.  
•    Degree in business administration, finance, science or related field.
