Job Description
The Corporate Development Leader indentifies, evaluates, and proposes commercial expansion opportunities that are not actively being promoted (internal development, acquisition, or strategic partnership). In addition, he/she coordinates and executes select strategic initiatives to facilitate the transition, migration, and integration of newly acquired companies. This individual has exposure to customers (end-users and channel partners at customer sites and international tradeshows), industry / technology experts, consultants, and investment bankers. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Drives Corporate Development process across business, functional, and regional teams to identify opportunities to expand business profitably. Leverages leadership competencies and focuses on results to ensure team members support and are working towards execution of the team’s mission, operating plan and goals People Leadership Provides operational leadership for the team, including associate selection, training, coaching, development, planning, performance management, conflict management, and recognition. Fosters a positive climate that promotes associate well-being and team effectiveness across the New Business Development Organization and Hypertherm. Network Building and Support Actively develops relationships to ensure Hypertherm is known externally as a qualified buyer of companies being actively sold and that Hypertherm is aware of suitable companies actively being sold which could result in acquisition, helping Hypertherm achieve its financial goals. Transaction Review Coordinates screening of deals that best fit with Hypertherm’s motivation for acquisition and Hypertherm’s unique culture and judging when it is appropriate to bring a proposal forward to the Management Team. Preferred Qualifications - MBA from a leading business school and CPA/CMA

Internal/External VOC for Proactive Target Market Development Creates an acquisition target pipeline through interaction with Hypertherm Leaders and external customers (channel partners, end-users). Required Qualifications - MBA with 5+ years experience in business analysis related field (corporate development, venture capital or private equity).
