Job Description

BASIC PURPOSE
Processes or coordinates the processing of transactions related to the credit function.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Monitor that all members meet the Bank's policies comparing their outstanding obligations to their assets and available collateral, that they fulfill their capital stock requirements at all times and that there are no members executing advances that may fail the Proxy Test.
2. Process Letters of Credit and Letter of Credit Confirmations. Verify that members have signed the appropriate addendums, review the information in the Member’s application, obtain the authorized signatures and distribute accordingly. Monitor the weekly and monthly expiration of Letters of Credit and/or Confirmations.
3. Perform the reconciliation of all Advances, Commitment and Fee reconciliation between DDA, Intrader and Custima. Create and maintain the Intrader GL interface. Responsible for identifying discrepancies in the system that do not reflect accurate results and formulate the appropriate resolution or systems changes to correct such problems.
4. Assist in monitoring the financial condition of all member institutions. Input the most current Exception rates resulting from the Collateral Verification, assist the Collateral Deparment in projecting the result of the exceptions on the Member’s collateral status. Develop queries in the database to generate analysis and research as requested by management.
5. Process New Membership Files, process the prospect through the FHFB’s online system, upload the most recent financial data into Intrader and provide the Legal Department with the necessary signature cards and agreements.
6. Verify that transactions entered meet all the procedure and policy requirement before releasing the commitment (CIP and LoC) and Capital Stock alarms. Monitor all transactions entered, prepaid and canceled in Intrader. Build the call schedule for callable advances entered by Members through SecureConnect.
7. On an annual basis archive and/or destroy all FHLB Credit Operations files and related documents. These files include Membership files, CIP/EDP files, Letters of Credit, Correspondence, FHFB reports, CRC reports and member related documents. Responsible for ensuring the department complies with the Bank’s established policy.
8. Provides prompt, courteous service to all internal and external customers. Addresses customer needs and demands in a professional manner, providing follow-up and developing cooperative relationships.
9. Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
1. Bachelors or graduate degree in finance, business, accounting or real estate.
2. 3+ years experience in commercial credit analysis or bank examination.
3. Proficient knowledge of standard office equipment, PC skills, database queries and Microsoft products.
4. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and analytical skills; a self motivator is a must.
