Actively cooperate and interact with all entities of Citigroup. Perform credit and property analysis on conventional and government loan files submitted within the time frame established by departmental management. Adequately and effectively explain in written and verbal form the decision reached in a manner that will maintain a positive relationship with all customers. Perform timely reviews of conditions submitted, as well as loan resubmissions. Analyze challenging loan packages to determine alternative solutions. Process agency/investor exception requests as needed. Audit delegated level II underwriter loans. Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Job Requirements
High School diploma and 4 + years experience in underwriting property and credit. Experience with and knowledge of property and credit underwriting requirements of FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA (HUD/VA) and private mortgage insurance companies. HUD Direct Endorsement designation, VA Automatic Authority and LAPP authority required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Ability to effectively make decisions in an independent manner and availability as a resource advisor for all staff. Good analytical, problem solving, organizational and communication skills needed.
