Terremark is a leading global provider of utility-enabled managed IT infrastructure solutions built on the industry's most robust and advanced operations platform.   We are scouting for Custom Solutions Engineer to join the team in the future.

The Custom Solutions Engineer will be responsible for providing leadership and design assistance in the creation of custom or non-standard solutions that meet the client’s requirements while maintaining the ability to be supported effectively by the standard operations group. Within this scope, essential duties include but are not limited to T providing technical design, integration, verification/validation, stability and supportability for all Hosting, Network and Storage technologies.  Additionally, this person will create test environments to validate configurations while producing high quality documentation so custom solutions can be implemented and supported using standard procedures.  This position will also provide design assurance to complex solutions to meet Customer, Implementation and Support requirements.

Job Requirements

Qualified candidates MUST possess the following:

• 7+ years Hosting design/ architecture or support experience is a minimum.
• Advanced knowledge of two or more of the following supported Hosting technologies – Servers and OS (HP,Sun and IBM)(Windows 2003,2008 Sun and RHEL 4.x and 5.x), Security (ASA’s firewalls, LAN to LAN VPNS and FWSM), Storage (Netapp, 3par and EMC) and Network (Cisco IOS, Layer 2 switching, layer 3 routing)
• Previous experience designing hosting solutions, including technical documentation, testing and validation, and problem resolution
• Advanced lab work and Technical Documentation experience
• Advanced knowledge of HP and/or IBM server gear
• Advanced understanding of storage concepts
• Academic:  BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the technology sector.
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong technical design skills.
• Strong understanding of troubleshooting techniques
• Strong understanding of middleware technologies (Jboss, Weblogic and Websphere)
• Good Customer Service skills
• Advanced organization and time management skills
• Excellent technical documentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt and learn new technologies as needed.

Preferred qualifications include:

• A combination of Industry Certifications:  MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, SUN, RHCE, etc.
