Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Representative who can perform a variety of duties while providing timely information to our lighting customers.  In this fast paced position you will provide regular contact to Sales Representatives, internal customers, and Regional Sales Managers on status of orders and excellent overall customer service .
 

1.   Ensures that all customer inquiries are handled expeditiously and correctly. 

2.   Acts in proactive manner with the information flow so that telephone calls and e-mails are kept to a minimum. 

3.   Reports to RSMs and rep issues to RSMs to report  escalated issues and uses problem solving skills to correct the problem.

4.   Assists a contractor, distributor, or rep through an installation problem or to work with our field technician when necessary to resolve problem. 

5.   Processes orders when necessary or as time permits.

6.   Communicates internally on all product or job problems as they happen and documents the resolution when appropriate. 

7.   Filing and other administrative duties required.

Job Requirements

• Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of an associates degree and/or equivalent customer service experience.  Minimum of 3 to 5 years of customer service experience  in a manufacturing environment required.

• Mechanical or Technical aptitude necessary.  Ability to read blue prints helpful.

• Must work quickly, accurately and with the initiative to get the job done. 

• Flexibility in dealing with customers, a professional demeanor, and the ability to clearly communicate thoughts and ideas over the telephone and in writing are essential to this position. 

• Willingness to do whatever is necessary within the department to ensure that orders are processed as expeditiously as possible. 

• Proficiency with a personal computer and a working knowledge of Word, Excel and E-mail is required. Experience with an ERP/MRP system desired.
