Job Description
Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. (CNI) was created for the purpose of promoting the economic development and long-term financial viability of the Chickasaw Nation.
CNI now owns and manages many business enterprises that collectively employ more than 2,000 people. The long-term strategy of CNI is to continue to grow by expanding the number of federal contracts and through selective acquisition of small 8(a) companies that fit the CNI business model. CNI will remain a business enterprise that supports and adds value to the economic independence of the Chickasaw Nation.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties maybe assigned.
Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity, knowledge/quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative/motivation, cooperation/relationships, problem analysis/discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral/written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability/dependability, flexibility and ownership/accountability of actions taken.
Researches case files for comparison, correction and input to appropriate systems or records.
Reviews computer input and output documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to establishment standards by performing the following duties.
Operates a data entry device to record or verify a variety of standard and/or complex coded or un-coded business and statistical source data into a computer.
Performs data entry via PC, on-line data terminal, key-to-tape, key-to-disk, or similar device, uses relevant systems or records to retrieve additional documentation needed to complete assigned task, read notes and instructions written on source documents and compares information with printouts to detect errors and ensure completeness and conformity with establishment policies and procedures.
Notifies supervisor when errors and shortage of output are detected, and corrects errors or refers work to other workers for correction, compares corrected input and output data with source documents, worksheets, and data displayed on screen of computer terminal to verify corrections, adheres to standard operating procedures for thorough and accurate task completion, trains co-workers on work processes as requested by management.
Travels and works overtime as required.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such away as to maximize output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers.
Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and Human Resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in Microsoft Windows/Office.
