Job Description
Data Verification- Benefits Investigation Representative
Data Verification-Benefits Investigation Representative needed for growing medical billing company!
As a Data Verification/Benefits Investigation Rep you will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure all insurance and patient information is accurate.
- Contact the physician to verify any missing information.
- Work with supervisor and other Benefits Investigation Team members when special case handling is required.
- Comply with all system and documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Meet Data Verification process time standards by completing assigned work list tasks in a timely matter and/or reporting to management when assistance is needed to complete the tasks.
- Complete additional administrative duties as assigned by manager.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Non-Smoker (will not consider any candidates who have used any nicotine products over the last 90 days).
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years customer service experience
- Knowledge of health insurance terminology and the billing process
- Superior customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Able to multi-task, establish priorities, and work independently
- Capable of accurate, high speed data entry.
- Must have previous medical billing experience.
Training
- Training will consist of a 3-5 day structure training seminar run by a highly qualified training manager.
- Training length may vary based on candidate progress.
- Training will cover all policies, procedures, service offerings, products and processes pertaining to medical billing.
Compensation
Typical Day
- 8:30-5 pm, Monday-Friday.
- Free parking.
- Free coffee.
- Business casual work environment
