We are seeking a Director-level administrator to manage a newly approved Ambulatory Surgery Center to be located at its state-of-the-art medical complex in Westchester (Rye), NY. The ASC will occupy 14,000 sq. ft. in the facility with 4 OR's. The anticipated opening is early 2010. The multi-specialty cases to be booked may include orthopedics, vascular surgery, plastic surgery and other specialties.
The Administrator will be involved in start-up aspects of the ASC and ultimately will be responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating all clinical, administrative, staffing, employee relations and business functions and activities of the Center. 80% of the physicians using the ASC will be WESTMED physicians. The WESTMED Medical Group is a large, highly computerized organization. One of the goals is to have a “paperless” ASC. In addition, the ASC will have the support of corporate billing, credentialing, and IT. The Administrator will interface with WESTMED Billing, IT, Accounting, and Credentialing. You will have the support you need to make this ASC successful.
The goal of this position is to manage the operations of the ASC overseeing and all regulatory (Federal, State, Article 28) compliance, surveys, scheduling, inventory, cost per case, budgeting, hiring/staffing, patient care, and, of course, supervising others. The Administrator will work closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Job Requirements
- Experience: Must have had experience as a Nurse Manager or Administrator for an Ambulatory Surgery Center which means you understand how an ASC runs including cost per case, regulatory compliance and surveys, etc.
- Prefer experience working in an ASC with more than one OR. Prefer experience working in an ASC with more than one specialty.
- May also have 5 + years progressive management experience within an ASU, Hospital OR or PACU
- Prefer Masters degree in Nursing, Health Sciences or Business Administration
- Prefer NY licensed RN
- Prefer candidates who have experience with NY Article 28 compliance
