Job Requirements

Language Skills:  Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence, and group purchasing contracts. Ability to write concise and well organized RFIs, RFPs, and business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present, communicate and exchange information to others. Ability to utilize clear and concise communication methodologies including listening and comprehension skills to interact with internal and external business associates.
Reasoning Ability:  Able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out Strategic Sourcing Services policies and procedures, as well as to identify problems and necessary solutions related to contract negotiation with suppliers.
Interpersonal Skills:  Able to conduct self-confident and articulate business conversations with suppliers and internal business associates.  Ability to work effectively as part of a team, sharing resources and collaborating to achieve deadlines and goals.
Negotiation Skills:  Able to plan negotiation strategy and tactics appropriate for different contracting situations. Ability to move negotiations forward to a supplier’s best and final offer, in the necessary time frame designated for the project.  Ability to maintain grace under pressure in difficult negotiations, always displaying a high level of professional courtesy.

Required Experience and Education
4 year college degree required, with advanced degree in business or related field preferred.  Candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience and be able to demonstrate successful track record.
