Director of Nursing - DON - Registered Nurse - RN
The Director of Nursing (DON) leads, manages and directs the nursing staff in all clinical aspects of skilled nursing operations. The Director is responsible for providing the highest level of care while ensuring federal, state and local regulatory compliance and is responsible for the MDS process to ensure and promote the highest degree of quality care possible for our residents. The DON supervises the nursing staff, including nursing staff recruitment and scheduling. The DON must be a leader who can educate, motivate, direct, and respect his/her staff. The DON will assume the responsibilities of the Administrator in his/her absence
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Certifications/Licenses: Registered Nurse (RN)- Licensed by Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners

Education: A degree from an approved school of nursing.

Training and Experience: Three years full time clinical experience in Long Term Care with Proficiency in Medicare, Minimum Data Set (MDS)/Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and the Care Plan process.
