Era Living, a respected and recognized leader in retirement living throughout the Puget Sound, has an outstanding opportunity for a Director of Quality & Compliance.
The Position
The Director of Quality & Compliance (DQC) will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the organization's clinical quality improvement (QI) program, which includes nursing, Wellness Clinics, Assisted Living, a Health Care Center, and Life Enrichment Programs at all Era Living Communities. The DQC will be responsible for quality assurance, performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and risk management in health and clinical matters, as well as developing policies and procedures for health and wellness care management/delivery.
The DQC is responsible for auditing Era Living Communities to ensure they are in compliance with state regulations and Era Living Policies and Procedures. This important position will coordinate all survey activities for Era Living Communities, including all follow up, implementation of action plans and measures of success.

Job Requirements
The Successful Candidate
A successful candidate for this position must have extensive knowledge of Washington Administrative Codes (WAC's), Revised Code of Washington (RCW's), and regulatory issues and have the ability to effectively read, review, analyze and interpret state regulations.
We're seeking a candidate who has comprehensive in-depth knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance; has recent experience as a Director of Nursing or a Director of QA/QI for a minimum of five (5) years. Skill set to include successful surveys, implementation of quality plans and quality management. Current State of WA license as a Registered Nurse is required. Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent in business or health related field, Long Term Care Administration or Health Care Administration is required; Master's preferred.
We seek candidates with the following additional qualifications:
Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and teambuilding skills.
Extensive knowledge of residential and long-term care, gerontology, and care of older adults.
Extensive knowledge of and competence in Quality Improvement systems.
Extensive knowledge and experience with incident/occurrence investigation.
Ability to plan and implement training and professional development for all Community Health staff across Communities.
Computer proficiencies in all Microsoft products.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
Valid State of WA Driver's license. Travel approximately 80% in local King County area.
